Thursday, July 29th

Hi all,

I hope you had a restful holiday with your children - they certainly seem refreshed and ready to learn. This is a busy term with a number of sporting fixtures on (tackle rugby and winter sports) plus Calendar Art (due Week 3), speeches (school final in Week 6) and swimming lessons at Dean Greenwood Swim School in Weeks 6 and 7. There are also two Accord Days - August 20th and October 1st - when school is closed. Keep an eye on this blog for updates on these and more events.

Stars of the Week are Tobias Strang and Alexander Malupo for their great start to Term 3.

At the end of last term students in Room 15 wrote cinquain poems and I have shared those published. Enjoy!

Friday, July 9th

Hi all,

Well we have made it to the end of another term and what a term it was. Students put their best foot forward in the Cross Country, fales were launched, the shade sail and astro turf were opened and lots of learning took place in class.

There were lots of stars this week - Mele, Juwairiah, Alexandra, Prisha, Anthony, Sahar, Leah-Anela, Isabelle and Farhaan.

See class photo below for Isabelle's farewell today - she is leaving us to go to Tirimoana School in Te Atatu. Students also participated in several science experiments recently - soil testing and measuring the sun's energy and ultra violet rays (changing beads' colour).

Have a great holiday with your families and I'll see you on July 26th.

Mr Henderson.

Friday, July 2nd

Hi all,

There is just one week left to go till school holidays - I bet you are looking forward to having a break with your family :-) This has been another busy week with lots of learning. The astro turf was blessed and opened on Thursday with a good turnout of parents. It was nice seeing everyone at the open afternoon which followed this.

Remember to book a time for the parent-teacher conferences on Monday and Tuesday if you haven't already done so.

Stars of the Week are Prisha, Sahar, Harsh, Juwairiah, Isabelle and Pia.

Pictured below are some of Room 15's students testing the school's water in a science experiment.
