Hi all,
It has been an extremely busy week with lots
going on at school. Unfortunately, due to the weather, the cluster athletics
was postponed until this Friday.
This week was the inaugural Writers’ Festival which
was hugely successful. Students had two published writers speak to them and
there was a great turnout to the open afternoon/evening on Thursday to
celebrate your child’s writing. On Friday the whole school attended the first
ever New Windsor School Spelling Bee. This was a lot of fun and our very own
Levi Abernethy was the best speller in Year 4. Well done Levi!
Stars of the
Week are Meirui Chen for her writing and Hafsa Saeed for being the most improved student this year. The PB4L draw winner was Aniar Sua.
This
month is Movember when men relive the ‘80s and grow a moustache to highlight
men’s health issues and raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation. I am
doing it with Mr Daniels and Mr Gundy at New Windsor School. Any donations would
be appreciated – visit www.movember.com and search for “New Windsor lads”. Thank you Julian Beretta for your
kind donation with your pocket money.
Have a great weekend!
Mr Henderson.
