Friday, October 22nd

Hi all,

I hope you had a relaxing break. Students in Room 15 have had a good first week back and it was nice seeing them on the daily zooms. Years 11-13 are back on Tuesday and we are hoping for more clarity on that day regarding going back ourselves. The rising number of Delta cases is a bit worrying.

Make sure your child does all the work on the class site each day and shares it with me. They can always go back to previous slides from any week to complete unfinished work. Keep working on those speeches also - there won't be a cluster competition but everyone will present their speech to the class when we return to school. It is good to see students doing work from the ministry's books. Stars of this week were Viral, Prisha and Farhaan.

Have a great long weekend and I'll see everyone on zoom at 9.30am on Tuesday.

Mr Henderson.

  1. Room 15. What a busy first week back you all had. I can see that you have been super busy working. I like the way that you are writing recounts. Its such a good thing to do. Don't forget to add lots of detail to you stories. When you do that it helps to make them more interesting. I really like the art and bike. It has a super colourful border and is perfect shape. Keep up the great work room 15. Looking forward to seeing more of your amazing work.

  2. Congratulations to Viral, Prisha and Farhaan for being the rm 15 stars of the first week of term 4💎💎💎💎
What a way to start term 4, back in distance learning too.
Glad to hear that some students are using their Ministry of Education learning packs too . .
As you work on your speeches remember the audience that you will be presenting your speech too and to have a really capturing first sentence opening to get your audiences attention. I can’t wait to read or hear some of your speeches too 👏👏👏👍👍👍😋😋😋👍👍

  4. Gosh Mr Henderson, you have some clever artists in your room. The bicycle looked amazing, and it was great how the scale of each part made it whole and look like a very good bike to ride. The daisies (or were they rain lillies) were also cleverly created using all those layers of paper petals. Ka Rawe
